Skudai, Johor, January 10, 2023 - Sateera Biotech, a leading biotechnology company, has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with UTM, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, and the institute of bioproduct developments to establish a joint laboratory for biotechnology research and industrial application.
The signing ceremony took place at UTM, and the MOA was signed by Dato' Wira (DR) Calvin Khiu, board of director of Sateera Biotech Sdn Bhd, accompanied by Skyler Loh Kok Shen, CEO of Sateera Biotech Sdn Bhd, and Loh Ming Hui, Regional Manager and Corporate Affairs of Sateera Biotech Sdn Bhd. The representative for UTM is Prof. Dr. Hesham El-Enshasy, the director of the institute of Bioproduct Development, and Prof. Datuk IR. TS. Dr. Ahmad Fauzi Bin Ismail, Vice Chancellor of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
The MOA aims to enhance collaboration between UTM and Sateera Biotech to facilitate the development of new biotechnology research and industrial applications. The joint laboratory will serve as a platform for both parties to conduct research and development activities, share expertise, and explore new opportunities for biotechnology innovation.

The signing ceremony was followed by a tour of UTM's laboratory facilities and a showcase of the latest products infused with Sateera formulation. This event highlights the strong partnership between UTM and Sateera Biotech and their commitment to promoting biotechnology research and development in Malaysia.
